EVAN WEBSTER - PRESIDENT

Evan graduated from RMIT University with a Bachelor of Applied Science (Surveying). Prior to this Evan completed a Bachelor of Engineering (Civil)/Bachelor of Business at Swinburne University.
After completing his tertiary studies Evan worked for a property development firm where he was responsible for the delivery of large broad acre residential subdivisions.
Evan then spent several years working abroad for one of the largest surveying companies in the United Kingdom where he worked all over England and Scotland. He was involved in a number of high profile projects including the 2012 Olympics Games in London and the 2014 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow.
During 2015 Evan was awarded registration as a Licensed Surveyor. He currently runs Webster Survey Group which is a family owned business that was established in 1979.
Evan is the third generation of his family to be a Licensed Surveyor in Victoria. His Great-Great Grandfather Cape was a pioneer surveyor in the late 1800’s and was the first person to survey many parts of Melbourne and rural Victoria while his father Neil is also a Licensed Surveyor.
Currently Evan sits as Vice-Chair on the Surveying Task Force which is a body that encourages students and people seeking a career change to consider land surveying as a career. He has presented at many career events and University Open Days as well as giving guest lectures to students at RMIT.

RILEY ULBRICH - CHAIR FINANCE AND AUDIT COMMITTEE

Riley began is surveying career working in Adelaide and Barossa. He graduated from University of South Australia in 2010 with a Bachelor of Geoinformatics and Surveying. Since graduating Riley has been based in Melbourne.
Riley is currently employed as a Licensed Surveyor with the Department of Transport and Planning. He has a particular interest in complicated nuanced cadastral and land development problems. He enjoys assisting his clients to achieve positive outcomes in a variety of small to large scale projects.
Riley is an advocate for the surveying profession, and he takes pleasure in supporting young and developing surveyors in professional development.
In his personal life Riley enjoys spending time with his two kids along with running, riding, swimming, gardening, and hiking. He also has a keen interest in history and etymology.

CLINT JOSEPH - SRBV REPRESENTATIVE

Clint Joseph graduated from the University of South Australia with a Bachelor of Geoinformatics and Surveying (hons) in 2000, receiving the Institution of Surveyors, Australia Excellence in Surveying Award (student) for his final year research project. Whilst at university Clint was awarded the ISASA R.W. Paynter Prize and was a student representative for the surveying and affiliated courses. Clint commenced his surveying career in Warrnambool and obtained his registration to became a Licensed Surveyor in 2006.
In December 2007, Clint remained in Warrnambool and founded Joseph Land Surveying Pty Ltd providing survey and land development consultancy within Warrnambool and South West Victoria. Clint provides ISV with experience obtained from being a director of a private consultancy that represents private clientele, local governments and service authorities. Clint has a broad knowledge of surveying, land development and law relating to surveying whilst also bringing with him excellent communication and consultancy skills with an enthusiasm for inclusion and education.
Clint has been an active member of the regional ISV Glenelg Grampians Group holding several committee positions and regularly attends to promote surveying within the Warrnambool and district secondary school career information nights.
Outside of work Clint enjoys spending time with his wife and their two very active young children travelling, attending sporting events, camping, swimming, fishing, surfing and keeping up with friends and family. Clint is an active member of his local community, regularly donating his time to local school events, charity appeals, sporting organisations and annual festivals. Clint is a volunteer Surf Life Saver at the Warrnambool Surf Life Saving Club, where he is a past board member and club chief instructor. Clint is still involved in training and assessment, is the water safety coordinator for the local junior (nipper) program and officiates at local and state carnivals.

LINDA PORTER - SRBV REPRESENTATIVE

Linda has been a Licensed Surveyor in Victoria since November 2003 after graduating from RMIT with a Bachelor of Applied Science (Surveying) in 2000. She has worked in both urban and rural environments on a wide range of projects. Linda has been a member of the Institution of Surveyors since 1997 and joined the Board as the representative for the North Central Regional Group in 2017. Outside of work, Linda loves to spend time with her husband and three daughters.

BADEN COATES - DIRECTOR

Baden is a graduate of a Master of Engineering (Spatial) at the University of Melbourne, finishing at the end of 2023. He also completed his undergraduate studies in Bachelor of Science (Spatial Systems) at the University of Melbourne.

Previously being the University of Melbourne Student representative, Baden made the transition to director immediately after graduating. Baden aims to provide educational experiences to both new and old students and promote surveying to the next generation of students.

Outside of his studies, Baden loves to experiment with both traditional and FPV UAV, as well as tinkering with cars and cycling. He also runs surveying and drone workshops within schools with the aim of introducing a new generation of diverse students to surveying.

PATRICE MOLONEY - DIRECTOR

 

GEORGIA WEBSTER - DIRECTOR


After graduating university in 2019, Georgia completed her graduate years and Professional Training Agreement (PTA) at Surveyor-General Victoria, gaining experience in Crown land surveys. In 2025, she successfully completed her PTA and obtained registration as a Licensed surveyor. Georgia now works at the Victorian Infrastructure Delivery Authority (VIDA), where she continues to deliver  surveying and land related services. 
Georgia continues to support the surveying profession having been recently appointed as a Board Director at the Institution of Surveyors Victoria. 

MORGAN GRANGER - DIRECTOR

Morgan is a Licensed Surveyor with expertise in cadastral and topographic surveying, specialising in high-quality data outputs that support decision-making and asset management. Licensed in March 2022, Morgan led the LXRP survey program for over 5 years, contributing to the removal and survey documentation of 74 level crossings across Melbourne. Morgan is currently engaged in the land program for AEMO's Victoria to New South Wales Interconnector West transmission project, where he is contributing to best practice outcomes for the project's land impacts and costs.

PAUL SMITHWICK - MURRAY GROUP REPRESENTATIVE

Paul studied Geomatic Engineering at University of Melbourne and gained registration as a Victorian Licensed Surveyor in 2011 while working under Steve Oxley in Wangaratta. He now works full time for Reeds Consulting from his home in Wangaratta with visits to Melbourne as required. Over Paul’s journey he has mainly worked in small to medium rural Cadastral practises in northeast Victoria but has also ventured to Queensland for some FIFO work where he is also registered with the QLD board. He enjoys following the Western Bulldogs and loves to get to games wherever possible and enjoys a game of golf when family commitments permit. Paul is looking forward to serving on the ISV Board as the ISV Murray Group representative.

MATTHEW KING - NORTH CENTRAL GROUP REPRESENTATIVE

Matthew graduated from the University of Melbourne with a Bachelor of Geomatic Engineering in 2005 and has worked as a cadastral surveyor in the North Central Region and Melbourne since. Matthew obtained registration as a Licensed Surveyor in 2014 and has since been involved in a large variety of private and public sector projects. In 2019, he made the move from Melbourne back to his home city of Bendigo with his young family. He started Central Victoria Surveying in 2022 and enjoys the challenges of running his own business. Matthew loves spending his time away from work with his three children, exploring the many bush trails of the region and going camping for an extended weekend. He also loves to attend live music. Matthew is looking forward to representing the ISV North Central Regional Group on the ISV Board.

ROGER WHYTE - GLENELG GRAMPIANS GROUP REPRESENTATIVE

Roger Whyte began with Berry & Whyte Surveyors Pty Ltd. Portland in 1983 after graduating from RMIT. He was licensed in Victoria as a Surveyor in 1988 and has been a member of the Institution of Surveyors Victoria since 1980. He first attended Glenelg Grampians Group (GGG) meetings in 1980 and has been a chairperson of GGG for a number of terms. His firm is a member of Association of Consulting Surveyors Victoria and Roger has been an examiner for the Surveyors Registration Board of Victoria since 2010. Roger is also a Board member for the Committee for Portland and has a total experience of 41 years in the profession in the Western District. He is experienced in cadastral surveying (including Property Subdivisions & Crown Surveys) and has considerable experience in construction and engineering surveying work, on the Portland Aluminium Smelter site, Incitec Pivot, Portland Wind Farm projects and Port of Portland. He has experience in high precision detailed engineering surveys and laser scanning (Point Cloud) surveys including Portland Aluminium’s High Voltage switchyard.
Roger is always keen to embrace modern technology and has been producing CAD drawn Cadastral Plans & Abstract of field records since 1990, 3D Point Cloud scanning survey plans and more recently creating 3D Reality Mesh surveys using RPAs, commonly known as Drones. He has been using GNSS (GPS) for cadastral surveys since 2006 and has been a SPEAR (Surveying and Planning through Electronic Applications and Referrals) user since 2007. He has a number of subdivisions lodged and registered using ePlan.
Outside of work, Roger likes spending time with his wife and family and playing on his 6 hectare hobby farm west of Portland.

PAUL MURRIHY - CSV REPRESENTATIVE

Paul graduated from the University of Melbourne in 2005 with a Bachelor of Geomatic Engineering and Bachelor of Science.  Paul has been a Licensed Surveyor since 2011, and is a director of Head & Humphreys Pty Ltd, a surveying firm located in Blackburn, Melbourne. Paul has also previously been a director of Consulting Surveyors Victoria from 2017 to 2023.Paul enjoys the complexity of multifaceted developments and providing surveying services to both the private and public sector in metropolitan and rural Victoria.Outside of work, Paul enjoys spending time with his wife and three children.
